Meet the Creators of CHICKEN DOGS!
Dion H. and Enzo C. met as kindergarteners at San Carlos Charter Learning Center (SCCLC). In fourth grade, they decided to create a graphic novel for their class and friends, to give them joy and laughter. The idea of a dog with a chicken head at first sounded ridiculous, but it soon became popular as their classmates read episode after another throughout the entire school year. In the summer of 2024, after reaching their 20th episode, the two decided to share this more broadly for everyone in the world. They are working with Harriet, a professional illustrator, to bring their world of Chicken Dogs to life!
Dion H.
Dion is a 5th grader with a big imagination and a passion for creating. Whether he's writing comics, or inventing new games, Dion is always dreaming up something fun. When he's not drawing or telling stories, you’ll probably find him flying down a mountain, because skiing is one of his favorite sports! ChickenDogs! is one of Dion’s best-loved creations, and he hopes you have as much fun reading it as he had making it!
Enzo C.
Enzo is now a 5th grader at The Nueva School. He loves to draw, write, and create new things. He plays the piano, enjoys tennis, and is an avid cross-country runner. He is a passionate and creative individual that wants to do more for the world.
Harriet R. (Illustrator)
Harriet began her career as an illustrator at the age of 16, though her passion for drawing started much earlier in childhood. Raised in a creative environment filled with picture books and comics, her parents supported her to freely explore her artistic talents. Harriet has a deep interest in biology, cats, the violin and musical theatre. She is also an avid traveler, always seeking out new experiences and adventures.
